Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slackness suppression type overhead bare electric wire capable of being suspended at the slackness smaller than that in the past without increasing the outer diameter of the electric wire. SOLUTION: Multiple steel fine wires 1A having the outer diameter 0.4-0.6mm, the carbon content 0.88-0.96wt.%, and zinc plating on the surface are concentrically twisted to form a zinc-plated steel twisted strand 2A, multiple zinc-plated steel twisted strands 2A are concentrically twisted to form a core material 3A, and a twisted wire conductor is provided on the outside of the core material 3A to form a slackness suppression type overhead bare electric wire. When the outer diameter of the core material 3A is equal to the outer diameter of the conventional corresponding core material, the tensile strength is increased, and the weight for the unit length becomes lighter than before. The weight of the whole electric wire is reduced, the strength of the core material 3A is increased, and the electric wire can be suspended at small slackness.
