Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a holder of a wire-shaped photoconductor at a good production yield by arranging a holding member diagonally with the optical axis of this wire-shaped photoconductor and holding this photoconductor with the pressing force of this holding member, thereby making the miniaturization thereof possible and ensuring the holding of the wire-shaped photoconductor. SOLUTION: A jacket holding tube 3 is slightly turned in the direction opposite from the spiral direction of the spiral part 11 of the holding member 2. The inside diameter of the through-hole of the spiral part 11 is slightly expanded by the turning force generated at this time. The through-hole is formed slightly larger than the outside diameter of an optical fiber 5. The optical fiber 5 is inserted from the side of the jacket holding tube 3, is passed through the through-hole of the holding member 2 and is projected slightly from the front end face 1a of a ferrule 1. The jacket holding tube 3 is turned in an opposite direction by the restitutive force of the holding member 2 when the jacket holding tube 3 is released thereafter. The spiral part 11 is tightened accordingly and the optical fiber 5 is elastically held from the entire surface of the outer periphery by the spiral part 11.
