Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a performance testing device for buffer which can be improved in versatility and can be easily attached and detached. SOLUTION: A supporting device 4 fixed to the outer periphery of the cylinder 2 of a buffer 1 is constituted by connecting a chain to a circular arcuate member 9 having teeth on the inside and a connecting section on the outside. The member 9 is brought into contact with and fixed to the outer periphery of the cylinder 2 by displacing the member 9 by giving a holding force to the lowest end position to a plunger 3 by operating a rewinding device 6 provided in the middle of a rope-like body 5 connected to the supporting device 4 at both ends.
