Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent gas in a housing from being leaked to the outside even in the case where this motor compressor is used at the hot and humid coastal area by setting up at least two sealing o-rings inner and outer in a connecting part between a front case and a motor case. SOLUTION: Two ring grooves 71 and 73 are installed doubly inner and outer in an end face 43B of a flange 43A of a front case 43 and, in turn, each of sealing O-rings 72 and 74 is fitted in these ring grooves 71 and 73. On the other hand, likewise two ring grooves 77 and 75 are installed doubly inner and outer in an end face 49B of a flange 49A of a motor case 49, and each of sealing O-rings 78 and 76 is fitted in these ring grooves 77 and 75, respectively. Supposing that this motor compressor is used at the hot and humid coastal area and peripheral parts of these ring grooves 73 and 75 at the outside are corroded, there is almost no corrosion in the ring grooves 71 and 77 at the inside. Accordingly, any gas is prevented from being leaked to the outside by way of a clearance between the end face 43B of the flange 43A and a left end face 5A of a frame 5, and another clearance between the end face 49B of the flange 49A and a right end face 5B of the frame 5.
