METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR CONTROLLING CAR BRAKE EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize the abrasion of linings by reducing braking actions as the function of brake pedal operation quantities in a vehicle reducing the braking actions of wheels as the function of larger brake abrasion for equalizing the brake abrasion. SOLUTION: Pressures of brake pipes 24, 12 are measured by a pressure sensor 56 during the vehicle operation, and thickness of corresponding brake linings are measured by sensors 44, 46. When a brake pedal switch 52 is closed to start the brake process, an electric control device 38 reads the pressure in one brake pipe and the measured lining thickness and inspects whether they have different values exceeding tolerances or not. If this inspection is YES, whether the lining thickness of the front axle is smaller than the lining thickness of the rear axle or not is inspected. If the inspection is YES, the operation signal for a pressure reducing valve in the front axle circuit is obtained from the value of the measured pressure and outputted.
