Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the lowering of a casting speed by preventing the development of such trouble as to reach a limit position in the travelable range of a cut-off device from happening before completing the cut-off. SOLUTION: At the time of predicting the trouble, the cutoff movement during progressing in the present is interrupted. At the time of supposing the continuation of travelling at the cut-off device 4 as it is, a distance, in which the cutoff device overruns from the limit position, is calculated. The cut-off device 4 is returned back to a travelling original point direction so as to secure the travelling distance, in which this overrun is not developed in the following cut-off of a cast slab.
