BED SERVING ALSO AS SOFA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve handleability by making a supporting body erectable and fallable and connecting a movable backrest halfbody to the supporting body so as to be displaced to an extended bed position and a sofa position. SOLUTION: At the time of a sofa mode, the supporting bodies 20 present at both end parts of a floor base 11 are in the erected state of being extended and raised upwards from the short side parts 12 of the floor base 11 and used as armrests. At this time, the respective movable backrest half bodies 30 connected to the supporting bodies 20 on both sides are held at the sofa position of being mutually continued in a longitudinal direction approximately parallelly to the long side parts 13 of the floor base 11. At the time of converting to a bed mode, the movable backrest half bodies 30 are displaced and held at a normal bed position along the upper part of the short side parts 12 of the floor base 11. Further, when the supporting bodies 20 are turned to a flat state by being brought down to be approximately horizontal from the respective short side parts 12 to the outer side of the floor base 11 and the movable backrest half bodies 30 are also displaced to the extended bed position of being brought down to be approximately horizontal accompanying them, since the backrest surface of the movable backrest half bodies 30 and the upper surface of the floor base 11 are continued on the approximately same plane, a floor area is secured more widely.
