APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLY OF STATOR CORE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator core assembly apparatus and an assembly method by which respective partial cores are easily and accurately assembled into an annular core. SOLUTION: The protrusions C12 and recesses C22 of respective partial cores which are adjacent to each other are arranged into an annular shape in the inside of a tapered ring 2 so as to have the protrusions 12 and recesses C22 close to each other. A taper holder 3 is made to be descended and pressed with divided claws 4 to make the outside tapered surfaces 42 of the divided claws 4 slide along the inside tapered surface 21 of the tapered ring 2 and, further, to make the divided claws 4 slide along the tapered sliding surface 31 of a tapered holder 3. Thus, the respective claw members 41 of the divided claws 4 are moved toward the center axis uniformly and the inside surfaces 43 of the divided claws 4 are pressed against the outer circumference of a stator core C.
