CONNECTOR FOR PRESSURE-CONTACT CONNECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the work of cable insertion easy and sure, and prevent the occurrence of wasteful redundant section of a cable by providing a specified means, in a specified connector for pressure-contact connection. SOLUTION: This is a connector 20 for pressure-contact connection where an insulating housing is made by coupling a pressure-contact block 21 and a terminal block 22 by a hinge part 23, and the terminal block 22 is made to hold a pressure-contact terminal 24, and the pressure-contact block 21 has a cable retainer 26 where a retaining hole 25 to hold a cable C, and the cable retainer 26 has a receiving groove 27 to receive a pressure-welding groove 24a made. In this connector 20, the cable retainer 26 is provided with a bump means 28, on which the head face of the cable C abuts, and a confirmation means 29 which confirms that the head face of the cable C abuts on the bump means 28. Preferably, it is further to be provided with a slip stop means 30 which works as the slip stop of the cable C inserted in the retaining hole 25.
