PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an original positioning scale easy to be seen and to smoothly close an original cover member on a contrast glass, without interfering with the original positioning scale by disposing the display surface of the original positioning scale in an inclined attitude and providing a specific notched part in the original cover member. SOLUTION: The original cover member 2 is pivotally supported to freely automatically open/close with a hinge, in the end part on the inner side, with respect to the front side of the image forming device body 10. The original positioning scale 4 is disposed to make the display surface have an inclined attitude, so that, out of an edge part 4a on the front side, that is, a side nearer to an operator and an edge part 4b on the inner side further away from the operator than the edge part 4a, the edge part 4b on the inner side is located in a part higher than the edge part 4a on the front side. Further, the original cover member 2 is provided with the notched part 6 into which the scale 4 arranged to make the display surface have an inclined attitude, is inserted when the cover member 2 is closed.
