Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an expandable composition not causing an environmental pollution and having improved safety and dispersability by mixing an organic inorganic material with a specified azodicarboxylic acid diester. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by mixing 100 pts.wt. organic material selected from among thermoplastic resins, thermosetting resins and ordinary-temperature-curing resins or inorganic material selected from among mixtures of calcium silicate, magnesium silicate, and aluminum silicate with an inorganic or organic binder, gypsum and cement with 0.2-15 pts.wt. azodicarboxylic acid diester represented by the formula: RCOOC-N=N-COOR (wherein R is a lower alkyl, phenyl or benzyl).
