PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle that facilitates assembly and wiring operations. SOLUTION: Projections 22a, 22b are provided respectively on the sides of a body 2 and a cover 3 in such a way as to match each other, and when the body 2 and the cover 3 are brought together, the projections 22a, 22b are made to abut to each other, forming an approximately rectangular locking projection 22. The cover 3 fitted with a holding plate 17 and the body 2 are brought together, and the locking piece 27 of a mounting frame 26 is fitted over the locking projection 22 and locked to the edge of the locking projection 22, so that a receptacle main body 1 is easily assembled. Also, when a wire is inserted from a wire slot provided in the bottom of the body 2, the conductor of the wire is pressed into contact with the contact piece 8 of a terminal board 5 by a lock spring 9. Therefore, the wiring work for making a connection with external wires can easily be carried out.
