Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the rapid and easy alignment of optical waveguides and an optical waveguide body. SOLUTION: A luminescent point 6 appears in the optical waveguide part on a light incident/exit surface 1a when an LiNbO3 substrate 1 is irradiated UV rays from the direction approximately orthogonal with the propagation direction of the light wave of the Y-branched optical waveguides 3 formed by a Ti diffusion method. The position of this luminescent point 6 is measured and an optical fiber 2 is brought near to this position, by which the alignment between the Y-branched optical waveguides 3 and the optical fiber 2 is rapidly and easily attained.
