ELECTROSTATIC COUPLING TYPE DETECTION ELECTRODE FOR CABLE DETECTING DEVICE AND CABLE DETECTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic coupling type detection electrode and a cable detecting method used for detecting a number of cables by one operation. SOLUTION: This electrostatic coupling type detection electrode for a cable detecting device is constructed in such a manner that a number laid cables 12 arrayed in parallel with the axis of a cylindrical cable arraying pipe 10 are disposed on the outer peripheral surface thereof so as to surround the same from an outer peripheral surface side, the device is composed of a flexible insulating layer, a sheet-like signal electrode 18 stuck to the inner surface side of the insulating layer and a sheet-like shield electrode 20 stuck to the outer surface side of the same and a signal detection lead line 26 is pulled out from the signal electrode 18.
