Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matrix type display device having a repairable structure, particu larly a matrix type display device per screen element unit by providing respectively pacific first and second signal lines, an auxiliary signal line, a screen elementary electrode and No.1 to No.3 terminals. SOLUTION: Upper and lower first signal lines Gup, Ddown constitute respective upper and lower boundaries in respective screen elementary boundaries, to be formed laterally. The No.2 signal line D is longitudinally formed among respective screen elementary boundaries and crosses the upper ant lower No.1 signal lines Gup, Gdonw while being insulated from them. The auxiliary signal line 1b constitutes the boundaries of respective screen elementary boundaries being formed adjacently in parallel to the No.2 signal line D and together with the upper and lower signal lines Gup, Gdown, constitutes more than 3 cross points with the No.2 signal line D. A screen elementary electrode 10 is formed within the screen elementary range and made of transparent electrically conductive substance. No.1 terminal is connected to No.1 signal lines Gup, Gdown and No.2 terminal is connected to the screen elementary electrode 10 and No.3 terminal is connected to the No.2 signal line D.
