Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to improve the finishing accuracy of light shielding films without receiving the influence of the difference in level of a TFT substrate constituting a TFT(thin-film transistor) liquid crystal panel and to shield light in all of the spacings between respective pixels. SOLUTION: This display panel is constituted by using the substrates of a TFT system, counter electrodes and the liquid crystals for deflecting the light by the electric fields between the substrate of the TFT system and the counter electrodes. In such a case, the surface of the glass substrate 1 constituting the substrate of the TFT system is provided with the light shielding films 3 and the upper layers of the light shielding films 3 are provided with insulating films 4, 6, 8. The upper layers of these insulating films 4, 6, 8 are provided with pixel electrode films 9.
