Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a function by moving a pair of left-right half-split sliding roof bodies to the place of upper closing and the place of lower opening and opening and closing the open ceiling section of an observation chamber. SOLUTION: An astronomical telescope T is arranged at the center of a plane rectangular observation chamber 12 consisting of the vertical walls 13 of four surfaces. Inclined guide rails 15 consisting of parallel inner rails 15a and outer rails 15b are fixed onto the external surfaces of a pair of the opposed walls 13 so as to be brought near in upper sections and be separated in lower sections symmetrically regarding the front center 12X of the chamber 12. Half- split sliding roofs 20 composed of vertical walls 21 and roof walls 22 are supported slidably to the guide rails 15. The roofs 20 are lifted and lowered along the rails 15 by a driving device, a ceiling opening section is closed at lifting ends, and the ceiling opening section is opened at lowering ends. The height of the roofs 20 is determined so as not to interfere in the telescope. Accordingly, the whole ceiling is opened and the field of view can be spread, the retreating spaces of the roofs can be reduced, and a large-sized telescope can be housed.
