FAUCET FOR WASHBASIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To wash the inside of oral cavity more conveniently and sanitarily by providing a configuration comprising a branch tube connected and branched inside a water supply pipe with an outlet formed upward, opening/closing means for controlling the discharge of water to be supplied to the branch tube, and control meats for adjusting water pressure or volume in a faucet for a washbasin selectively using hot water or cold water by an opening/closing valve. SOLUTION: A branch tube 5 is formed at the upper side of the inner periphery of a water supply pipe 4 for a waterbasin, and the branch tube 5 is so positioned that its outlet is directed upward of the branch tube 5. A ball 6 for opening and closing the branch tube 5 is attached rotatably to the outlet. At the time of release of the branch tube 5, a lever type discharge tube 7 is formed with the ball 6 in one united body in such a manner that a lever type discharge tube 7 can communicate with a water inlet of a ball 6. At one side of the branch tube 5 communicating with the water supply pipe 4, an orifice 8 is formed as a water pressure adjusting valve 30 for adjusting the pressure of incoming water is formed and a spring 10 for elastically biassing a ball 9 for adjusting the water pressure flowing through the branch tube 5 depending upon the degree of the opening of the orifice 8 is provided in the branch tube 5.
