Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a porous material having improved adsorptivity and selectivity and useful as a substitute for activated carbon material by using a specific phenolic resin, a polyorganosiloxane resin and an alkali metal compound as raw materials. SOLUTION: The objective porous material is produced by mixing a raw material composition containing (A) 100 pts.wt. of a phenolic resin produced by the copolycondensation of a compound of formula I (R1 and R2 are each a 1-4C hydrocarbon group or phenyl) and formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, chloral, glyoxal, etc., or their mixture, (B) 5-900 pts.wt. of a polyorganosiloxane resin of formula II (R3 and R4 are each same as R1 and R2 ; (n) is 2-50), (C) 10-800 pts.wt. of an alkali metal compound and optionally a solvent, heat-treating the produced mixture at 300-1200 deg.C in an inert atmosphere and washing with water. |
