Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a vinyl chloride polymer excellent in fish eye level that can be carried out in a simple manner in a short period and prevents foreign matter effectively from mixing with the polymer. SOLUTION: This process for producing a vinyl chloride polymer comprises carrying out suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer or a monomer mixture made up of vinyl chloride monomer with a monomer copolymerizable therewith in an aqueous medium in the presence of an oil-soluble polymerization initiator and a dispersion stabilizer. As the dispersion stabilizer, a partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol having a particle diameter of 150μm or more and free from water-insoluble matter is used.
