TRAVERSING METHOD FOR ROLLING STOCK TRUCK AND TRAVERSER FOR ROLLING STOCK TRUCK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To travel a traverser at the height of the floor surface without digging a pit in the floor surface, and to safely place a rolling stock truck on the traverser without being touched by hands of a worker to traverse. SOLUTION: A rolling stock truck 8 on rails provided on the floor surface is held by a gripping part 6a of an expansible arm 6 provided on a traverser to be travelled on rails and drawn in a main body frame 5 of the traverser, the rolling stock truck 8 is lifted from the rails by an elevating device 7 provided on the traverser, and the traverser is travelled at the height of the floor surface in the direction intersecting perpendicularly to the rails, whereby the rolling stock truck 8 is traversed between plural parallel rails provided on the floor surface. In this case, the traverser comprises the main body frame 5 having a space for storing the rolling stock truck 8, the expansible arm 6 which has a gripping part 6a for holding the rolling stock truck 8 and can be freely expanded and contracted, the elevating device 7 for lifting the rolling stock truck 8 on the rails provided on the floor surface, and a moving mechanism for travelling the traverser in the direction intersecting perpendicularly to the rails at the height of the floor surface.
