Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a press cutting operation for an end part of a steel mem ber with a longitudinal right-angled sectional shape of a backing metal in a width direction under application of a die having a shape of R at a fillet of the sectional shape in a moving right-angled sectional shape of a relative moving plane of each of a male die and a female die of the press. SOLUTION: Three kinds of dies are prepared in correspondence with a shape of R section at each of three kinds of fillets (a new JIS standard). Each of the dies is comprised of a rough press die 8 having a cutting blade surface 10 with a shape of R in its sectional shape in an advancing right-angled direction and a finishing press die 28 having the same cutting blade surface 10 as that of the rough press die, wherein they are lateral symmetry. A flay bar (a size of it: 9mm×25mm) which is commercially available is cut to a predetermined length at first 1) in response to a required condition of an H-shape steel or the like, this flat bar 42 is at first press cut by the rough press die 8 under application of the die selected from three kinds of dies above 2), then an orientation of the flay bar 42 is reversed 3) and next it is press cut with the finishing press die 28 4).
