MESSAGE RECEIVER WITH AUTOMATIC DIAL FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate efficiently a dial tone of a contact destination telephone number received as part of message information, especially as a parameter of a routine phrase. SOLUTION: The receiver is provided with a routine phrase memory 18 storing a plurality of routine phrases, the storage content of the routine phrase memory 18 is read by an abbreviation number in a received message when a message display mode is designated and displayed on a display section 2. When a transmission key commanding production of a dial tone is operated during display of a received message, an abbreviation number of a routine phrase requiring a contact destination number is detected from message information displayed and selected as the parameter, a prescribed data section in the message information is extracted in response to the detected abbreviation number as the contact destination telephone number and outputted to a dial tone multi-frequency(DTMF) signal tone (dial signal tone used by pushphone telephone set) generating section 23. That is, automatic dialing based on the contact destination telephone number received as the parameter of the routine phrase is executed.
