METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY HEATING UP HEATING CYLINDER OF MOLDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to start the operation in the state that the temperature of a heating cylinder is effectively maintained at a set temperature value at the time of starting the molding operation by starting the heating up of the cylinder before the time of starting the predetermined molding operation by the time required for heating up the cylinder to the temperatute necessary for molding. SOLUTION: In the injection molding machine which stops the operation in the state that the heater power source of a controller 3 is OFF, an arithmetic processor 5 inputs the actually measured temperature value of a heating cylinder 1 via a temperature regulator 4 by the processor 5 when it becomes 120 minutes before (first actual temperature measurement) the time of completing the heating up stored in the RAM memory of a setter 6. Then, the temperature difference between the actual temperature measured value and the set temperature value stored in the setter 6 is calculated. The heating up starting time is calculated based on the difference. At the time of starting the heating up, a heat-up start command is sent to the regulator 4. Thus, the heating up of the cylinder 1 is started.
