SKIRT STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the appearance and to heighten the strength by providing a skirt structure of an automobile by combination of a metal material in the center in the longitudinal direction of a skirt and resin materials at both ends. SOLUTION: A front skirt 16 comprises a center under bar 17 and right and left skirts 18, 19 connected to the right and left of the above bar. An under bar 17 which is a metallic member such as aluminium or the like is fitted to the center of a front bumper 15. The left skirt 18 and the right skirt 19 are fitted to the right and left of the front bumper 15. The right and left skirts 18, 19 are made of resin, and polyphenylene ether(PPE) is used therein. The front skirt 16 presses the under bar 17 to the right and left skirts 18, 19 through a seal material to be connected to each other. Thus, even if the resin-made skirts are deformed, the seal material is elongated to fill up a clearance to keep the appearance good.
