SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SILENT COMMUNICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means allowing a user using a terminal to transmit and receive nearly in real time with a communication opposite party without troubling nearby present member even in a traveling train or in a conference. SOLUTION: A media conversion means 2 provided with a speech recognizing means 3 converting speech information to text information and a speech synthesizing means 4 executing conversion opposite to it is arranged for a communication network or a terminal. The mode setting means of a speech mode for transmitting and receiving in a normal speech and a silent mode is provided for the terminal 1B with a display or a keyboard function to control for using the speech mode when both normal transmitting and receiving sides transmit/ receive by speech information and to transmit/receive speech on one side and text information on the other side through a media conversion means.
