DISK DRIVING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stable reproducing by releasing a clamper when a disk is placed on a turntable and fixing the disk on the turntable by an attracting force applied between a magnet and a magnetic plate. SOLUTION: A clamper 225 fixes a disk on the upper surface of a turntable 222, and an iron magnetic plate 226 opposite to the upper surface of a magnet 224 is attached to its lower surface. The clamper 225 is placed in a holding or releasing state by a driving mechanism. On the other hand, when the turntable 222 is raised and the disk is placed thereon, the holding of the clamper 225 is released and the disk is fixed on the turntable 222 by an attracting force applied between the magnet 224 and the magnetic plate 226. This turntable 222 is made of a resin, an attracting force is also applied between the magnet 224 and a magnetic plate 25, and the turntable 222 is pressed in the direction of a rotary shaft. Thus, the play of the turntable 222 in a rotational direction is limited.
