Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching regulator which can be miniaturized by reducing the number of externally mounted elements and at the same time can output the output current over a wide range with high efficiency. SOLUTION: The oscillator 27 of a switching regulator outputs an oscillation frequency fOSC. A switching control circuit 32 outputs a pulse signal for switching and driving an output transistor 4 on the basis of the oscillation frequency fOSC. A smoothing circuit 33 smooths an output signal outputted from the output transistor 4 to give out an output. An output control circuit 34 outputs a control signal for controlling the duty of a pulse signal to the switching control circuit 32 on the basis of the output voltage Vout and the output current Iout of the smoothing circuit 33. The oscillator 27 is provided with a frequency regulation circuit 35 for changing the oscillation frequency fOSC so as to follow the change of the output current of the smoothing circuit 33.
