HYDROGEN MANUFACTURING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To provide a hydrogen manufacturing apparatus capable of performing the reactions conventionally carried out in a reformer, a carbon monoxide transformer or a hydrogen purifier at once in a group and producing hydrogen of high purity. CONSTITUTION: This hydrogen manufacturing apparatus is composed of a vertical burner 1, a vertical cylindrical radiation board 2 surrounding the burner and forming a burning section 15 having an opening at the upper side, an inner tube 3 surrounding the outer periphery of the radiation board and forming a town gas flow path between the radiation board and itself, an outer tube 4 surrounding the outer periphery of the inner tube 3, having a ceiling board 5 between the inner tube and itself and forming a closed reaction section 11 there, plural vertical hydrogen permeating tubes 6 having an closed upper end and placed in the reaction section 11, plural vertical offgas tubes 10 having an opening at the upper end and placed in the reaction section 11, plural sweep gas tubes 7 having an opening at the upper end and vertically placed in the hydrogen permeating tube and an outermost tube 8 closely covering the above and the side part of the outer tube 4 with some spaces to it and communicating with the inside of the inner tube 3. A reforming catalyst 9A is inserted into the surroundings of the hydrogen permeating tubes 6 and the offgas tubes 10 in the reaction section 11, and a burning catalyst 9B is inserted into the space between the outermost tube 4 and the outer tube 4.
