Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To provide a hydrogen manufacturing apparatus of so called membrane reactor-type having high practicability and capable of performing the reactions that are conventionally carried out in a reformer, a carbon monoxide transformer and a hydrogen purifier, at once in a group and producing hydrogen of high purity. CONSTITUTION: This hydrogen manufacturing apparatus is composed of a vertical burner 1, a cylindrical radiation board 2 surrounding the burner, an inner cylinder 3 surrounding the radiation board, having a closed ring-shaped ceiling board 10 and forming a reaction section 11 between the radiation board and itself, a raw material- supplying tube 4 placed in the reaction section 11 whose upper part is open 13 in the reaction section 11, a vertical hydrogen permeating tube 5 placed in the reaction section 11 and whose upper part is closed, sweep gas tubes 7 vertically placed inside the hydrogen permeation tube 5, an outer cylinder 6 closely covering the outer periphery of the inner cylinder 3 and communicated to a burning section 15 and a catalytic burning tube 8 penetrating the hydrogen permeating tube 5 and vertically placed. A reforming catalyst 9A is inserted into the surroundings of the hydrogen permeating tube 5 in the reaction section 11, and a burning catalyst 9B is inserted into the catalytic burning tube 8.
