Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily and inexpensively obtain a light-weight thermoplastic cement molding excellent in flame retardance, by blending a thermoplastic resin having a chlorine content equal to or more than a specific value with fixed amounts of a hydraulic cement and water and hardening the mixture without heating. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin having >=50wt.% water content in an amount of 100 pts.wt. is dispersed into 250-670 pts.wt. of a hydraulic cement. A polyvinyl chloride, a chlorinated polyvinyl chloride, a polyvinylidene chloride, etc., are suitable as the thermoplastic resin. Then the mixture is mixed with water in an amount corresponding to 10-60wt.% of the added hydraulic cement at a room temperature, packed into a molding frame and hardened without heating to give a thermoplastic cement molding. The obtained molding has intermediate properties between those of cement and thermoplastic resin and is properly useful for a building material, a material for engineering works, etc. The thermoplastic cement molding can be further mixed with glass fibers, metal fibers, a foaming agent, a pigment, a light stabilizer, etc., depending upon uses. |
