Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regenerate an alkyltetrahydroxyanthrone into an alkyltetrahydroanthrahydroquinone in the regeneration of an actuating solution in the production of hydrogen peroxide by an anthraqunione method. SOLUTION: At the time of producing hydrogen peroxide by alternately reducing and oxidizing the actuating solution containing the alkyltetrahydroanthraquinone as anthraquinones, the actuating solution is treated in the presence of a catalyst consisting essentially of γ-alumina under a condition that (1) the treating temp.(t) ( deg.C) is 20-150 deg.C and the concentration (h) (mol/L) of the alkyltetrahydroanthrahydroquinone in the actuating solution before treating satisfies (0.0018×t-0.0285)×h
