FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC STRUCTURE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a problem such as the burr or peeling of side end surfaces, the falling-off or scattering of fibers or the like and the appearance inferiority caused by the protrusion of an adhesive by covering the side end surfaces of a first member with a second member in laminar constitution consisting of the first member composed of a resin containing continuous fibers and the second member composed of a resin. SOLUTION: In laminar constitution consisting of a first member 1 composed of a resin containing continuous fibers and a second member 2 composed of a resin, the side end surfaces 11, 11 of the first member are covered with the second member to constitute a fiber reinforced plastic structure. As the resin in the second member, a resin good in flowability is used in order to sufficiently cover the side end surfaces of the first member 1. By this constitution, since burr or peeling becomes hard to generate during production or use, the hand is not damaged by the end parts of the fiber reinforced plastic structure and the circuit of a peripheral electric/electronic part is not short-circuited by fallen- off carbon fibers and, when two members are bonded by an adhesive, it is prevented that the adhesive protrudes to damage the appearance of a product.
