SNOW-ACCRETION RESISTANT WIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow-accretion resistant wire in which the wire itself is made snow-accretion resistant, and is also caused to have a galloping suppression effect by paying attention to the snow-accretion resistant effect of the spiral rod reversely wound on a stranded wire, and the galloping suppression effect of the spiral rod. SOLUTION: The surface of a stranded wire is equipped with first protrusion setting strand 3 which forms one part of the outermost layer of the stranded wire and also has intermittent protrusions along its stranding direction, and second protrusion setting strand 4 which is reversely wound in the stranding direction of the stranded wire as crossing the first protrusion setting strand 3, and also has the intermittent protrusions along its winding direction. It is desirable that the first protrusion setting strand 3 is formed so as to have recesses and protrusions with a fixed pitch, and so that the recessed portions are positioned on the outermost layer envelope of the stranded wire, and the second setting strand 4 is wound on the outermost layer envelope of the stranded wire through the recessed portions of the first protrusion setting strand 3.
