CONTROL OF ELECTRONIC PATTERN CIRCULAR KNITTING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine output data, when a pattern is loaded on a controller in an electronic pattern circular knitting machine. SOLUTION: This method for controlling an electronic pattern circular knitting machine comprises a step for loading parameters (pattern) on a controller 7, a step for stopping the machine so that the selvage 12 of a knitted fabric is approximately aligned to a first needle-selecting device, a step for determining a start needle, a step for calculating the final lap in the final data of the loaded pattern with the controller 7 on the basis of the determined start needle, and a step for operating the knitting machine to start the knitting of the first part of the pattern, when the start needle reaches the position of the first needle- selecting device after the knitting of the final lap of the pattern.
