PARTITIONING DEVICE FOR TONNEL SPACE UPON FIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent enlargement of fire and high temp. region and diffusion of smoke upon generation of fire by dividing a tonnel space into several zones along the lengthwise direction, and arranging flame resistant walls lowering and blocking each zone after the detection of generation of fire, at each zone boundary part. SOLUTION: A tonnel space 1 is divided into several zones 2 along the lengthewise direction, and walls made of flame resistant material for forming each space 3, which descend in the space 1 to block and divide each zone 2 are arranged in a boundary part between the respective zones 2. The wall 4 is demountably supported at its one end onto a ceiling by a retaining unit 7. Upon generation of fire at a spot A, a temp. or smoke sensor 9 detects it to send the signal to a central monitoring pannel 10 to thereby actuate the unit 7. Accordingly the wall 4 is turned downward around a support shaft 6 to thereby block each zone 2, preventing diffusion of flame layer, harmful gas or the like to the other zones 2.
