Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the number of cell conversion buffer memories from being increased even when the number of terminal equipments is increased by applying time division multiplex to isochronism data from plural transmitter side terminal equipments and converting multiplexed multi-frame information into an ATM cell. SOLUTION: Multiplexed multi-frame information is converted into the information field of an ATM cell in a CLAD 30 and converted into an ATM cell with a cell header including a VPI and a VCI. The converted ATM cell is sent to an ATM cell exchange means 50 via an ATM-IF 40. The means 50 conducts ATM exchange by the VPI and VCI in the cell header of the ATM cell and the result is given to a CLAD 31 via an ATM-IF41. The CLAD 31 decodes the multiplex information of the information field of the ATM cell and multi-frame information of the head time slot of the multiplex information and sends the result to a TDM multiplex/demultiplex bus 21 and each IF 11 sends isochronism data to a receiver side terminal equipment by demultiplexing the multiplexed information.
