METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR QUICK START OF ACCESS TO MEMORY IN MULTIPROCESSOR CACHE COHERENT COMPUTER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quickly starting a memory access transaction so as to shorten the unloading system waiting time of a computer system. SOLUTION: A master transmits the first part of a transaction request packet provided with plural parts. A memory controller receives the first part of a transaction request including the row address of a memory address, memory access is started by impressing a row address strobe signal to the row of a memory position in response to the reception and the master transmits the remaining parts of the transaction request. After the complete memory address is received, whether or not to read data stored in the memory position from an information source other than the memory position is decided.
