Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize an adhesive compsn. comprising water, a fine oxide powder, and a binder mainly comprising a fine colloidal silica powder in a specified ratio by adjusting the pH and the concn. of water-sol. Na2 O, each to a specified value. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by mixing 6-20wt.% (in terms of solid) binder mainly comprising colloidal silica having a particle size of 5-300μm with 50-90wt.% (in terms of solid) oxide powder having an average particle size of 1-30μm and the rest, water. When an oxide powder having a low Na2 O content, such as low-soda alumina, is used, further addition of a certain amt. of an aq. NaOH soln., etc., is necessary. Thus obtd. compsn. is kept at 50 deg.C for at least 3 days and adjusted so as to have a concn. of water-sol. Na2 O of 300-1,500ppm and a pH of 9.5-11, thus giving an inorg. adhesive compsn. excellent in stability. |
