Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the sticking of scale pieces to tensionmeter rolls in high- draft rolling of a hot rolled steel strip where the scale is mechanically descaled. SOLUTION: The hot rolled steel strip 2 with scale stuck is cold-rolled at a draft of 30-50%, brush rolls 5 and wringer rolls 6 are arranged on the downstream side of a rolling mill 4 with which the scale is removed or peeled from the surface of the hot rolled steel strip 2 and the tension-meter rolls 7 are arranged on the further downstream side of the brush rolls 5 or the wringer rolls 6. In this way, the steel strip after removed with scale is brought into contact with the tension-meter rolls 7, so the peripheral surface of the roll is maintained in a good surface state.
