Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the flying range of balls by setting the volume of a head, a loft angle and the depth of the center of gravity to a specified value respectively to reduce spin of the balls. SOLUTION: The volume of a head is specified to 200cc or more and the loft angle α of a face 1 to 14 deg. or more. The vertical distance between the face surface 1 and the center of gravity 9, namely, the depth (d) of the center of gravity is set to 25mm or less. The upper limit to the loft angle α is not set but about 14 deg. is optimal. The lower limit to the depth (d) of the center of gravity is not also set but about 22mm is optimal. No upper limit is set to the volume of the head as far as the circumstances permit though restricted by the physical requirements such as the rigidity and strength of the head depending on material used. A pair of weights 10 are fastened on a toe part 2 and a heel part 3 closer to the face 1 in a hollow shell body of the head. For example, the pair of weights 10 are fastened dispersively on the toe part 2 and the heel part 3. The distribution of both the weights may be equal or unequal as well. |
