RICE COOKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of cooked rice due to heat while it is kept warm. SOLUTION: The rice cooker is composed of an inner pan 1 and an inner frame 3 holding the inner pan 1, a cooling device 7 such as a fan provided in the underside of the body 2, a pan temperature detector 4 and an air vent 8 to pass air sent from the cooling device 7 at the bottom of the inner frame 3 in the proximity of the bottom of the inner pan 1, an electromagnetic induction heating coil 5 and a control section 6 having a high-frequency power supply which supplies electrical power to the heating coil at the bottom of the inner frame 3. After rice cooking ends, degradation such as browning or unpleasant smell due to heat is prevented by passing air the high temperature zone of cooked rice and cooling the inner pan quickly by operating the cooling device by a signal from the control section.
