POWDERED COSMETIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a powdered cosmetic excellent in application feeling, make-up finish and make-up durability by formulating a specific modified complex excellent in balance between the sliding properties and the adhesion properties and in dispersion in the oil components. SOLUTION: This cosmetic contains a modified complex which is prepared by substantially covering a powder of high masking properties with a regenerated fibroin on its surface and coating the coated layer of the granular complex with an water-soluble polymer. The high masking powder is, for example, titanium oxide, zinc oxide, magnesium oxide or the like. The regenerated fibroin is prepared by using cocoons, raw silk, waste cocoons or viscose, when needed, removing sericin, and dissolving the dried raw material for silk in a solvent and regenerating the material by coagulating the dope. The water-soluble polymer is preferably poly(sodium acrylate). The modified complex is added to a cosmetic in an amount of 30-90 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the powdery cosmetic. This powdered cosmetic does not cause deterioration of touch feeling and caking even at a high mixing ratio of the modified complex.
