POINTING POSITION DISPLAY METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the exact and rapid execution of indication input by determining the distance to an object for indication and displaying the display color of this object for indication by continuously changing this color in accordance with this distance. SOLUTION: An indication position detecting section 200 takes in the video of the display surface of a large-screen display device 401 from a camera 210, determines the coordinates of the indication position and outputs the coordinates to a distance calculation section 101 and a pointer state decision section 103. This distance calculation section 101 determines the distance from the indication position to the displayed object for indication in the screen displayed on the large-screen display device 401 and outputs the result to a display color determination section 102. This display color determination section 102 determines the display color of the object for indication according to the distance from the indication position to the object for indication and changes the display color of the object for indication by a display screen control section 301. On the other hand, a pointer state decision section 103 outputs the statement of the determination of the indication position to an object for indication decision section 104 if the pointing input position is determined.
