Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently remove a joint material despite of low noise. SOLUTION: A chipping device is provided with a gondola 10 suspended by a hoist wire 11 so as to be raised/lowered thereby, a turning floor 15 which is provided in the bottom of the gondola 10 via a turning device 13 and a turning support 14, an elevating mount 20 provided on the turning floor 15, and a high pressure water injection device 30 which advances/retreats a water jet nozzle. which is provided on the elevating mount 20 and injects high pressure water, along the horizontal face and raises/lowers the nozzle. The high pressure water is injected to the joint material of a brick 3 which is laid on the internal face of a cylindrical body 2 of a chimney 1 as lining so that the joint material across the whole lining of the brick 3 can be cut.
