RECORDING-REPRODUCING EQUIPMENT FOR A PLURALITY OF DISKS WHICH EXECUTE RECORDING AND REPRODUCTION ON BOTH SIDES OF DISK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable execution of reproduction on both sides by using a plurality of pickup parts, by providing a disk carrying part with a disk inverting means. SOLUTION: In the case when an instruction to execute recording or reproduction on a first side 1A of an optical disk 1c, a disk carrying part 400 can not execute the recording or reproduction on the first side 1A of the optical disk 1c and so can not meet this instruction. Then a disk inverting means of the disk carrying part 400 rotates the optical disk 1c in the direction, (c) or (d) at an angle of about 180 degrees. Therefore the recording or reproduction on the first side 1A can be executed also by a second pickup part 300 and thus reproduction on both sides can be executed without any problem by using a plurality of pickup parts.
