CONNECTING DEVICE OF STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting device in which horizontal force due to an earthquake or the like is borne by shearing deformation of a rubber-like elastic body, and the cushioning effect and the damping effect are excellent. SOLUTION: In this device, two structures 2, 2 are connected together through a connecting member 3 and a damper 4 supporting the end part of the connecting member 3 displaceably in the horizontal direction. The damper 4 is provided with an outer cylinder 5 fixed in the horizontal direction to at least one of the two structures, an inner cylinder 6 arranged in the outer cylinder 5 and being inserted through by the connecting member 3, a rubber-like elastic body 7 fixedly secured between the inner cylinder 6 and the outer cylinder 5, transmitting means 20, 22 transmitting horizontal force applied to the connecting member 3 to the inner cylinder 6, and a stopper 20 regulating displacement of the inner cylinder 6.
