Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sizing agent composition for spray consisting mainly of a carboxyl-bearing water-soluble polymer, hard to segregate, stable over a long period, and good in flat-iron workability. SOLUTION: This sizing agent composition for spray is obtained by incorporating 0.1-20 (pref. 0.5-8)wt.% of a carboxyl-bearing water-soluble polymer (as an acid and/or salt form) 2000-6000000 in molecular weight (e.g. a (co)polymer of acrylic, methacrylic or maleic acid or of maleic anhydride), if needed, with an organic acid such as benzoic acid tartaric acid, a flat-iron antiadhesive such as polyethylene glycol and an antimicrobial agent, followed by adjusting the pH of the system to 3.5-7.5 (pref. 4.0-7.5).
