LUBRICANT FOR HIGH-TEMPERATURE PLASTIC PROCESSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject inexpensive lubricant in a transparent liquid state, capable of suppressing abrasion and roughness on the surface of a rolling roll and not contaminating an oiling part in high-temperature plastic processing, containing a highly basic alkaline earth metal carboxylate and a carboxylic acid anhydride. SOLUTION: This lubricant contains (A) a highly basic alkaline earth metal carboxylate (e.g. highly basic calcium salicylate) and (B) a carboxylic acid anhydride (preferably an alkenylsuccinic anhydride). The lubricant is preferably further mixed with (C) a component selected from a mineral oil and an ester. The amount of the component C is 0.5-30 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A or 100 pts.wt. the total of 3-90 pts.wt. of the component A and 10-97 pts.wt. of the component C.
