Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silicon-base polymer excellent in mold-ability, photochemical reactivity, heat resistance and fire retardance by bonding specific silicon compound structural units through oxygen stoms. SOLUTION: A bissilanol or bisalkoxysilane compound represented by formula III [wherein R is H, a 1-20 C alkyl or 6-12C aryl group, Si(R )3 or Si(R )3 ; R and R are each H or a 1-20 C alkyl or 6-12 C aryl group; a is 0 or 1-19, Y is a 6-30 C arylene derivative structure; and Z is a hydroxy or alkoxy group[ is subjected to dehydrative condensation or hydrolysis to polycondensate the same. A bissilanol or bisalkoxysailane compound represented by formula IV (wherein R is the same as R ; Y is the same as Y ; and b is the same as a) is polycondensed to both ends of the above-prepared polymer by dehydrative polycondensation or hydrolysis to obtain a silicon polymer with a weight-average molecular weight of 500 or more in which silicon compound structural units represented by formulae I and II are bonded through oxygen atoms. |
